Herbalife, a global nutrition company, engaged Yojimbo Corp to review their migration plan as they transitioned from on-premise hosting to Amazon Web Services (AWS). Given the scale of the migration and the importance of ensuring a seamless transition, Herbalife sought our expertise to identify risks, align their migration strategy with best practices, and ensure long-term operational success.
Our audit focused on evaluating their migration plan using AWS’s Well-Architected Framework, which provides a structured approach for building secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructure. We assessed their plans across the framework’s six critical pillars:
We began by collecting in-depth information through custom questionnaires tailored to their engineering processes and future-state objectives. Additionally, we interviewed key members of their engineering team to gain insight into technical requirements, migration timelines, and strategic goals. This hybrid approach allowed us to uncover underlying assumptions and ensure we had a full understanding of both technical and operational constraints.
Following the audit, Yojimbo Corp produced a comprehensive report that highlighted areas of strength in Herbalife’s migration plan as well as potential risks. For each area of concern, we provided targeted recommendations and mitigation strategies to align their cloud architecture with AWS best practices. The report also included corrective actions designed to improve long-term efficiency and ensure the migration was not only smooth but sustainable.
